Am I a good candidate for a Kybella® treatment?
If you’re bothered by your double chin and would like to get rid of it without resorting to surgery, Kybella® may be right for you.
How long does one treatment take?
Kybella® is an in-office treatment that normally takes 15 to 20 minutes.
How many treatments are needed?
The number of treatments may vary per patient. Most patients require 2 to 4 treatments spaced at least one month apart to see results. Some patients, however, require up to 6 treatments.
Is there downtime?
Downtime is minimal, and the recovery period is much shorter than the other alternative, which is liposuction. Patients may experience swelling, which lasts 3 to 4 days. There may also be bruising, but this can be covered easily with make-up.
Are there any side effects?
Just like any other cosmetic injectables, patients may experience side effects when they receive a Kybella® treatment. Among the more common side effects include bruising, swelling, numbness, and hardness in the treated area.
Are the results permanent?
Yes, but if patients gain weight, fat may return to the treated area.
